Success Stories from Parents of MCHS

Problem
My son was so unhappy, rebellious, with failing grades, bad attitude, poor attendance, victim of bullying by gang members, peer pressure, hazing, and wanted to drop out. I wanted so much more for my son and felt helpless!
Solution
Mavericks helped my son earn good grades and was able to attain a great job. He enjoyed smaller classrooms, supportive secure environment, lower student/teacher ratio, focus groups to keep him on track, and half day school hours with flexible schedules. He attended classes consistently, and best of all was feeling good about himself and his future! I highly recommend!

Problem
Unfortunately my son got into some trouble in his early teens and served time in jail. After serving, he was over the age of 18 and was not allowed to return to his traditional high school. I just wanted a second chance for him; to get an education with a good career; however, felt there were no solutions and fearful of his being on the streets again.
Solution
Thanks to Mavericks he was able to enroll as they accept students up to age 21 and they made you feel welcome like family! The school leader even attended court with us and periodic meetings with my son’s parole officer for added creditability and support. Thanks to Mavericks my son is looking forward to graduating this January with honors!" I am a proud mother!

Problem
With no other options, my daughter decided to quit school to join the military in order to solve her immediate needs of family support, financial security, a place to live, and at the same time a means to further her career, education, and travel. However, she learned she could not join the armed forces without a high school degree. They will not accept a GED or certification – she would need a high school diploma from a state certified school.
Solution
We found Mavericks which offered an accredited curriculum, certified highly qualified teachers with online computer and directed instruction, and best of all- a state certified high school in a great location. She was able to graduate and now she his living her dream, with a sense of pride serving our country and making a difference!
